The droopy look of his face was caused by an incident with forceps that occurred at the time that he was born. A nerve was cut off in the accident, which also left him with the ability to speak with a slur. Stallone had a difficult childhood. He and his older brother, Frank who was affected from their parents' antagonistic relationshipthat eventually ended by divorce. Stallone spent his childhood being in foster homes. Stallone, aged five, was moved by his father to Washington, D.C., and started his own beauty salon. Stallone spent a number of years in Maryland alongside his dad following the separation of his parents in the year 1957. Stallone struggled academically and emotionally and was exiled from several schools.
